“In youngsters’ group there were surprise when Jari-Matti Latvala, from Töysä, was only second fastest after the first lap. He has won all the eight rounds that he has driven. Fastest in the first pass was Hannu Lanamäki, from Lehtimäki. In the second loop Lanamäki enriched his time by two seconds and that was enough for the victory. Latvala was trying to battle for the win with slipping clutch, but Lanamäki was 0,15 second faster. Latvala found also some mistakes from his own driving: “We have new gearbox and gear selection is now different. I missed the right gear few times, and maybe that cost the win”, told Latvala.”
